As I sat in my micro class I hear a student behind me say, "man i had the worst day ever..." In my mind I am thinking something along the lines of a ticket or maybe an accident in which no one got hurt but a car being totaled. However, as his friend encouraged him to tell, he recounted an event of going home to his apartment. As he stuck his key in the door it slid open. When he looked in, he saw his roommate and his friend on the floor with guns pointed at them by two masked men. When he saw this he immediately started running, luckily (as he was in the class) he was not shot in the back. After the men left and the police came, he discovered that many of his belongings were gone and his room "looked like it had been hit by a tornado." When the police came they found his shotgun and although he had his paperwork somewehre scattered in the mess that was his room he could not find the registration in the time the police gave him. At the end of his story he bluntly stated, "I feel like someone just fcked my btch." As I sat there thinking about his unfortunate events, I asked myself would I have even been able to come to class?
